Hospice Care
- Sutter North Hospice
530-749-3460
For a patient diagnosed with a terminal illness, we offer hospice services that provide assistance at the patient or loved one’s home, home-like setting, or skilled-nursing facility. Hospice care centers on the patient and family member’s needs and focuses on controlling pain and symptoms, offering emotional and spiritual support, and providing relief to caregivers. Hospice care comforts patients and families, helping them deal with the daily stress and long-term pain of this difficult time. Our hospice team includes the patient’s doctor, a doctor who specializes in end-of-life care, dedicated nurses and nursing assistants, spiritual advisors, social workers, home-health aides and trained volunteers. The goal of our hospice programs is to help patients remain comfortable and maintain their dignity throughout their remaining days,
